[Ed. note:  The Federalist Papers are  the most honest assessment of self-government ever undertaken, and likely will never be surpassed.  But being written by humans for humans, the Federalist Papers have an inherent defect: they may be reinterpreted by those with intent to alter their plain meaning, with intent to foster evasion of the terms of the Constitution.

The Words of Jesus, by contrast, are timeless and inalterable, demonstrating adherence to God's will is the only path to peace on earth, and the surest road to heaven.  His Words are necessarily superior to the Federalist Papers, and must guide review thereof.  Even the Founders recognized the impact of the Almighty on their deliberations, for Madison wrote in Federalist 37:  “The real wonder is that so many difficulties [in the Constitutional Convention] should have been surmounted, and surmounted with a unanimity almost as unprecedented as it must have been unexpected.  It is impossible for any man of candor to reflect on this circumstance without partaking of the astonishment.  It is impossible for the man of pious reflection not to perceive in it a finger of that Almighty hand which has been so frequently and signally extended to our relief in the critical stages of the revolution.”  (Italics added.)

In the decade before the 2nd world war, Jesus Himself directed a nun, Maria Faustina Kowalksa, to transcribe His Words to her to further to enlighten humanity of His Divine Mercy.  Canonized Saint Faustina in 2000, she  transcribed His Words in five notebooks, which became known as Diary of Divine Mercy in My Soul.  Below are His Words alone, organized according to the principal themes the editor noted, for reference as needed at any time.  Saint Faustina’s five notebooks consist of 1589 entries, with the italicized numbers below indicating the corresponding entry in Divine Mercy in My Soul.  The English version of the Diary used herein was translated under the auspices of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in Stockbridge MA, who have generously allowed the editor to reprint the excerpts on these pages.  To obtain a better understanding of Divine Mercy, the editor recommends purchasing and sharing  sharing the full Diary.
